MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

Welcome - I am pleased that you have taken time to stop by the Center's website. Below you will find descriptions of each of the memberships available through the Texas Center for Legal Ethics and Professionalism. I encourage you to join the Center and recieve free cle, but most of all I would like to express my appreciation for your interest in the Center's efforts to provide up to date and exciting education programs to the lawyers of Texas. All memberships entitle every member to a complimentary CD-Rom containing the text from three books published by the Center and the 558 Ethics Opinions of the Texas Professional Ethics Committee; and a DVD Video entitled Hard Knocks In Little Rock (former Arkansas Attorney General Steve Clark). Reviewing the contents of the CD-Rom easily qualifies for one hour of MCLE ethics self-study. The DVD Video has been approved by the MCLE Department of the State Bar of Texas.

Members are also entitled to unlimited access to the Reference site. There is also a Members Only Section which will give information about the availability of other DVD Videos, any of which are approved for more ethics MCLE. A new benefit of membership is three hours of ethics mcle per year at no charge. You choose the additional title and we ship it to you, it's that simple.

Membership Categories

Professional Membership - $100.00

This membership category is an annual commitment to the Center. In addition to the traditional membership benefits, the Center is now pleased to offer Three Free Hours of Ethics cle to its members. Members will receive two sixty minute DVD Videos which have been approved for ethics mcle credit.

Charter Membership - $500.00

In addition to the benefits for a Professional Member, Charter Members will also receive a complimentary copy of Texas Courtroom Humor, a compilation of the best of Judge Buchmeyer's et cetera columns from the Texas Bar Journal for the past twenty years.

Benefactor Membership - $1,000.00

In addition to the benefits for Charter Membership, Benefactor Members will also receive one free course registration per year to any of the Center's courses. A special thank you gift will also be sent to the member as acknowledgement of this level of commitment to the legal profession.
