*By Order #05-9013, Supreme Court of Texas, amended Rule 1.04 with an effective date of March 1, 2005. The Order contains the following language:
"The existing Rule 1.04 governs only fee-splitting arrangements between lawyers not in the same firm entered into before the effective date of these amendments, provided that, by that date, the client has been advised of all the lawyers that will be participating in the client’s particular matter."
